Michelle's 30 day challenge

There are many things I would want to do and try, but that is also the problem.
I tend to forget or not bother to finish what I did, mostly because I find something else more interesting. A very good example would be when I was in grade five. My current interest then was to make a marvelous coin collection. The coin collection didn't get very far because after a few months, I gained a new interest in origami.
So for the next thirty days, I will choose and finish a novel series that I haven't read before. Some series I am currently interested are the "Inheritance Cycle", and "Lord of the Rings". To complete this goal, I will set myself a limit of pages per day, and to set a deadline for each book in the series. If there are four books in the series each having three hundred pages, I would read around fourty-two pages to complete one of the books in a week. That way I would balance my time for reading, and doing other activities.
I'm doing this challenge for the next thirty days because I wanted to read these series. Only I would of gave up before opening the book because it looked too long.
By doing this challenge, I hope to become more focused in my tasks, and therefore actually completely them efficiently. It would contribute to my patience because normally I would spoil the ending on wikipedia, but for this task I won't spoil the ending. This goal will also help with my planning, for in the goal I would have to plan the amount of pages I read a day, and when I should read more, or less. At the end of this challenge I hope my focus, and planning would improve.

Have fun with your thirty day challenges!

  1. Hmmm. I like this challenge Michelle. You have reminded me that I have several books awaiting me. Maybe that will be my next challenge.
